eBay lacks the basic necessities for younger sellers, and is becoming increasingly irrelevant to gen z.
We created a movement powered by social media to get sellers listings created, seen, and sold.
CONVENIENCE
Across the UK, ebay will paint mural-like squares in their brand colors.
These squares will provide an aesthetic backdrop. Complete with shelving, hooks and concrete blocks sellers will be able to properly display & photograph a range of items.
A QR code in front of each square, will guide sellers through the sign up and listing process.
COMMUNITY
Ebay will then take to Instagram, dropping coordinates to the freshly painted squares as well a linked location discoverable on instagram maps.
Similar to other inspo pages, @Ebaycanvas will dedicate itself to the Gen Z seller. Creating a community hub where users have the opportunity to connect, gain inspiration, and expand their audience.
Ebay Canvas will reward those who utilize the walls by highlighting their shop, and creating a link to the seller's storefront visible in the platform's bio.
Visibility
Digital scroll boards will update each time #ebaycanvas is used in a listing.
On Tiktok, eBay will conduct man on the street style interviews at the squares. Giving insight to the seller persona and the items they’re listing.
